Phil with his FamilyOur thoughts and prayers go out to Phil Mickelson's family. His wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. Mickelson being the loving family man that he is has suspended any further PGA play. Yahoo news reports that Tiger Woods said, “Elin and I are deeply saddened to hear the news about Amy. Our thoughts and prayers are with her, Phil, the children and the entire Mickelson family.”

Golf Club of the Bluegrass Num 1May 2, 2009 - This weeks spotlight course is the Golf Club of the Bluegrass (a.k.a. Widow's Watch) in Nicholasville, KY. This course has a great layout and a mixture of links style coupled with some holes that have tight tree lined fairways. Peninsula Num 2 greenMay 16, 2009 - This weeks featured course was Peninsula Golf Resort in Lancaster, KY. This course plays a Pete Dye's design. It was rated top 200 places to play in North America by Golf Digest. Our day started out really nice with 74 degree weather and partly cloudy with a slight breeze of 5-10 mph. It changed after a few holes with pop-up thunder showers. After about 30 minutes of heavy rain, our round continued with party cloudy and about 15-20 mph wind gusts up to 30 mph.
